A fresh mind, fresh new start are always welcome in new years.
One of my new year’s resolutions is to write more and blog often. To me, It was hard to balance between school, work, and blogging. It is pretty well known truth that I struggled to manage my time effectively last year so this year I am going to fix this problem.I really want to give a massive round of applause to you guys who still manage to blog over all the other things – you definitely deserve it!
Let’s talk about my 1st New year’s resolutions – write more + blog often. I started to blog since late January/beginning of the February last year. Honestly, it takes a lot of time for me to write a one single post, as English is not my mother language. My mother language (Korean) and English is significantly different. The word structures and the sentence structures are totally opposite, different characters and also we don’t have articles; probably some of you already have been notice that l missed a lot of articles in my posts. So, most of the time, it makes it hard for most Korean ESL students to acquire English at the same rate as, for example, their Dutch or Danish peers. l mean, I don’t have much problems living without knowing many vocabs however, when it comes to writing an academic paper or even blog posts, of course l don’t want to make Whole bunch mistakes and errors. Ok, I think I started to ramble this and that. My point is that I am still learning the language and writing on the blog helped me alot to improve my writing skill; I can see the difference between my first post and newer ones. I really want to write as much as I can and post regularly not just to improve my language skill, but to have the writing habit. Even though, most of the time, I make grammar, spelling mistakes or any other, thank you always for reading my blog- I hope you understand if i DO make mistakes!
I have searched for a good tablet for a long time; a perfect one to manage all my school stuff, design works and of course blogging. I was looking at the iPad mini and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 as my choices. After watching hundreds and thousands (not really) of comparisons and reviews on YouTube, I ended up really wanting the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1. But the truth was that the Galaxy Note 10.1 was pretty huge & high priced so decided to go with Galaxy Note 8 which is smaller version of 10.1; similar size as iPad mini.I think it was a good choice to get the smaller one as 10.1 would have been too big for my hands (I have really tiny hands) rather carrying my Mac Air instead.
The Note has built in stylus, better than any other stylus in the market – Probably the biggest reason why I purchased this tablet. It has multi-window feature which allows me to multitask. For example, now I can watch my online lecture and take a note at the same time on one tablet. No need for a pen and paper. Watch YouTube videos while writing a post, not a problem. Also It is good for those of you who reads a lot. It has a special “Reading Mode” that auto tunes your settings for optimal reading levels. I find it a bit more soothing to my eyes then regular tablet mode and it is very pleasant as I buy all my textbook online now, I have to read a lot.
I carry this compact size tablet everywhere with me and so far helped me to manage my schedules better than before. I definitely recommend this little tablet, if you are a multitask-er or want to organize a bit of your crazy life.
